Emmanouela Iliaki lives and designs in Athens. She studied Media and Communication at the University of Athens and then obtained her Master’s degree on Fashion Design from Istituto Marangoni in London. After studying and working for top fashion houses, as Alexander McQueen, she gained the academic and professional skills to create a promising swimwear brand under the name “Emma Swimwear”. Her first collection was showcased with success in Miami Fashion Week 2012!
The remarkable exclusive prints are a noteworthy part of Emma’s collections of swimsuits and cover-ups. She is inspired by earth’s raw materials, insects, flowers, reptilian skins, underwater life, landscapes, exotic resort destinations and the contrasts in nature.
Emma’s creations, with the whimsical color combinations and the original prints either figurative and intensely graphic or futuristically abstract express her free spirit and her love for summertime and the sea.
Emma’s textiles are expertly produced in Italy using only the highest-quality fabrics and everything is sewn and handmade in Greece, supporting family businesses and experienced local producers.
